We can't find a trace of this on other news sites or even on their own official page, however as you can see by this photo we received as a tip, there are signs for this popular American fast fashion retailer all over Nanjing Dong Lu. Forever 21 in Shanghai? That's something to talk about. The brand so far has no presence in China and if signs are up...well, the store can't be more than a few months away from opening. (Did a million teenage girls just squeal right there? Hell, did another million twenty-something females squeal?) We wonder how their pricing will be done considering that all the clothes are manufactured in China anyway. Are they gonna pass on the savings of shipping costs to the customers? We suppose their stuff is at Qipulu prices to begin with.

Dancer injured during opening ceremony rehearsal
The Chinese media reports the tragic story of Liu Yan (刘岩) who only ten days before the opening ceremony missed a step and fell three metres down the platform during rehearsals for the opening ceremony. The dancer from Inner Mongolia was rushed to hospital where she endured a 6 hour surgery however when she regained consciousness had lost movement and feeling to the lower half of her body. The article reports how her parents rushed from Hohhot to be with their daughter.
