Shanghai metro considering removing seats

Ah, rush hour: crammed in with millions of people you don't know like a potsticker on Wujiang snack street, the lack of personal space quickly gets to you. And with the extra one million people that started using the subway everyday within the past year (and the many more on their way for the expo), the problem is going to get worse. As a result, the transit authority is considering taking out the seats on line 8 to add more space for standing. Netizens seem to be okay with the idea, though skeptical that it will ever happen. In the meantime, they've come up with some pretty bizarre spoofs on commuting that mostly involve things getting crushed, like "mahjong tiles go in, pictures come out" or "pork dumplings go in, pizza comes out."
