Watch: Wendi Deng bitchslaps attacker of Rupert Murdoch at hearing
Never ever mess with a man married to a Chinese tiger wife. Earlier today, as Rupert Murdoch and his son sat before British members of parliament for a good grilling over the phone-hacking saga, a protestor interrupted the hearing by attempting to hit Murdoch senior with a paper plate of shaving foam. Fortunately Wendi Deng's lightning reflexes allowed her to protect her husband before a policeman was brought in to restore calm.

Around Shanghai: Hongqiao airport, professional queuers, Murdoch, and more
- Asian airports continue to be awesome: Passengers ranked Shanghai International Hongqiao Airport at 27th among 171 airports worldwide in the most recent survey conducted by the Airport Council International (ACI), upping it two spots from 2010.
- Tired of being stuck in queue with crying babies and rude elbows? Well, sigh no more: Now you can hire a professional to do it for you for around 20 RMB an hour..
- Talks of a taxi fare increase have been circulating around Shanghai for months. Now, they're just trying to decide how to do it. At a public hearing on Monday, the majority of participants preferred adding 1 RMB to the original flag-down fee of 12 RMB, rather than raising the per/km fee from 2.4 RMB to 2.7 RMB after the first 3 km.
Rupert Murdoch and Wendi Deng to attend Shanghai International Film Festival
"MEDIA tycoon Rupert Murdoch and his wife Wendi Deng will attend the opening ceremony and a forum of the coming 14th Shanghai International Film Festival, officials said today. Murdoch is expected to share his ideas and experiences in film investment with Chinese filmmakers at the forum on financing the growth of the film industry. China is the world's third largest film market in terms of box office revenue after Japan and the United States. Last year China's cinema earnings grew 63.9 percent to a total of 10.1 billion yuan (US$1.5 billion). The film festival will run from June 11 to 19. Its "Star Hunter" program has also been launched. Mainland citizens who have a talent for film acting can register at http://ent.qq.com/zt2011/Star_hunter/index.htm before May 27. Finalists will be selected by online voters and a professional jury and have a chance to attend world-famous film festivals and sign a contract with a well-known artist agency." [Shanghai Daily]
