Ask Men: China is world's 4th most horny country

So China has been named by Ask Men as the fourth horniest country in the world - thanks to the 5000 sex shops recently opened in Beijing, its status as largest producer of sex toys, and the fact that it has a SEXPO (which we're guessing they didn't visit - because, really, it was totally a boner killer). Most hilarious was its recommendations of horny places to visit in Shanghai - Bar Rouge, Zapata's and Windows. We think perhaps they're mistaking horny for white, old and sleazy. Yes, the difference is subtle, but we maintain that it's pretty solidly there. We could be wrong, but we're assuming Ask Men was thinking more along the lines of Austin Powers and less that chunky Brit with the wife and kids across the ocean. The Adult Care Expo is in town and we, being the naughty naughty children we are, decided to give it a look see earlier this morning. Was it everything we hoped it would be? Unfortunately, no. As one vendor informatively told us, the expos in Hong Kong and Macau are much bigger and rowdier - the Shanghai market for sex-related goodies just hasn't matured yet.

Pencil THIS In Too: Literary Festival and Adult-Care Expo

The live music selection may be amazing this weekend, but it's not the only thing going on! Today also marks the beginning of two super special events and if you're a fan of sexy things or literary things (or sexy literary things), you've got great reason to be psyched.

How many times have you found yourself sitting around your living room just itching to attend a local expo? Didn't think so. Well, for those out there who are interested, get those reading glasses ready. If the previously mentioned Sex Expo ("Sexpo"?) isn't quite your cup of naughty tea, then perhaps this might better suit your uptight needs. As reported last week in Shanghai Daily, the 2006 Shanghai Book Fair will be held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center (the former site of Jewish millionaire Silas Hardoon's Old Shanghai garden estate) from August 5 to 11.

This Indian news article declares that "[a] 2004 study cited in the official People’s Daily notes that only about a fifth of Chinese men surveyed knew where the clitoris was". The remaining four fifths said that they have never tasted French food, but they are more than eager to try it.
