Formula One was in town this weekend for the ninth annual Chinese Grand Prix. German driver Nico Rosberg took home the trophy, picking up his first ever F1 victory. Rosberg also was also the first Mercedes driver to win a circuit since 1955.

Though drama in Bahrain seems to be hanging a cloud of uncertainty over Formula 1 at the moment, this weekend's annual Chinese Grand Prix over at the Shanghai Circuit looks to be exciting.
Metro Line 11 extends to Shanghai Circuit just in time for Formula One
Those on Metro Line 11 will get to travel five more stops coming Monday. The line, which right now extends from Jiangsu Lu to North Jiading, will also go through Shanghai Circuit (上海赛车场)and Shanghai Automobile City (上海汽车城), great news for anyone hoping to catch the Formula One race. The ride to the circuit from downtown will take about 45 minutes, predicts Shanghai Daily.
Will the F1 Chinese Grand Prix be a wet one?
The Shanghaiist Weather Center is 100 percent sure the answer will be yes (although is Shanghai Circuit really in Shanghai?). It's dry now in the French Concession, but the dark clouds above suggest it won't stay that way for long. The cars on the track go round and round ...
The Ferrari Store on Madang Lu is rarely crowded. In fact, it is usually empty, save for its red-uniformed staff. And this makes sense to Shanghaiist -- why would anyone pay $30 for a baby bib? But yesterday was a different story. There were cars on the patio, and a couple hundred people crowding around them. This can mean one of two things: either a taxi hit another bicyclist ... or there's an F1 race on this weekend. While we're fairly certain a taxi hit a bicyclist somewhere in Shanghai yesterday (likely several places) there is not a website to confirm it, and there are several websites about the 2005 China Grand Prix.
