The current wave of strikes and demonstrations continued this week, as more than 100 workers blocking a Tesco store in the city of Jinhua in Zhejiang province. Shoppers were prevented from entering the shop by the staff, who boldly blocked and barricaded the entrances and exits, while holding up banners with messages, including ''We want to protect our rights...Return our blood and sweat money.''

Bomb explodes in Jiading supermarket, no injuries reported
Authorities have arrested a man for setting off a remotely-controlled bomb in a supermarket in the Shanghai suburb of Jiading at about 2pm yesterday. The man, who has now confessed, supposedly planted the bomb in a locker of an RT-Mart on Xinyu Rd (near Cao'an Road) and then called the supermarket around 1:10pm threatening to set it off.
