It’s been a week of uncertainties, at least as far as JZ is concerned. Was JR dropped? Is Coco back? When will we see more of Alec and The All-Stars (pictured above)? Did you all find the bank card we lost there on Wednesday? We’d love answers (especially for that last one -- ICBC wants us to go all the way out to Yangpu to get a new one).

GigShanghai: Booty, 'touching guitars' and Supergirl?!?
Friday: The Honeys, one of Shanghai’s most experienced rock bands, take a break from recording their new album to team up with Ark regulars Blue Garden for a show at Shuffle Bar. They describe themselves as "aesthetic but accessible," or as a friend of Shanghaiist put it, "indie-rock for normal people." Opening the show is Flying Fruit (羽果), a Jiangxi band who recently relocated to Shanghai and are already garnering praise for their interesting darkwave/shoegazer sound and energetic stage show.
For a city notoriously lacking in live music, last night Shanghai rocked. While we (along with headliners Another Kind of Light) weren't able to make it to the opening of Yuyintang's Music Warehouse, we did manage to catch local rock-with-Chinese-characteristics band Three Yellow Chicken at Shuffle before heading to Tang Hui's pre-re-opening party, Electro Town.
