So it may not be the fullest week for live music we've seen around Shanghai lately, but less to choose from just means you won't be racking your brains about which great show you're going to have to miss to catch another great show. And there are some really great shows coming up... especially at Yuyintang. Look at their line up! You get Triple Smash on Friday, then TooKoo on Saturday... and if that wasn't enough, there's Great Lake Swimmers for you on Sunday. The forthcoming holiday means that the weekend is coming early for a lot of us. After months of nothing more than a trickle of live shows, there is a flood of gigs this weekend and Shanghaiist is left wondering how to manage with all the choices. After Windows Underground, we wanted to check out Anar but were turned away at the door because we weren't exclusive enough. Good for us, we walked down the street to LOgO and caught Beijing dance rock band, TooKoo in the heat of action. They sang entirely in English and gave an excellent show that got the crowd all riled up and hysterical. more ›
