Pretty girls in car shows have popped up with varying degrees of tastelessness throughout China (we still haven't decided if it's better or worse when they paint the girls and call it "art"), but we're pretty sure this is the first time we've seen full-on nudity. Shanghai Volkswagen GM dies in car accident
Shanghai Volkswagen Co.'s general manager and three other people were killed in a car accident in Gansu over the weekend. Liu Jian, 45, died on July 17 after attending a company event to meet dealers and attend a test drive. However, more details - for instance, whether the accident happened during the test drive, or whether the three other victims were killed in the same accident - were not made available.

VW's 258mpg car rumors not quite right, not completely wrong
Well, would you look at this crazy little contraption. According to the Metacafe link, this single seat car (actually double seat, the passenger is in the rear), will be sold in Shanghai in 2010. The car allegedly gets 258 miles per gallon, can cruise at 100 to 120kmh and only costs 4000RMB. There's absolutely nothing to dislike... EXCEPT IT'S NOT REALLY TRUE.
