For most girls, the dream to have a wedding gown with a ridiculously long train that requires a dozen or more train-bearers remains but a dream, but for this lucky bride in Guiyang in South China's Guizhou province, that dream became a reality. Her 99,800 yuan ($12961) wedding gown comes with a 28m-long train that took 10 tailors 45 days to sew, and 20 train-bearers to carry. Now if you don't actually realise how ridiculous that is yet, Queen Elizabeth's gown was a paltry 13 feet long, and even Princess Diana's fairy tale gown was no match at 25 feet. We've all seen those fancy-shmancy bidet/toilet combos from Japanese-brand Toto. Heck, we have even enjoyed using one every once in a while (that seat-warming feature is really nice on a cold winter's morn). We believe Kelly Chen, the Hong Kong starlet who informed us (via danwei.org) that she trusts her private washing to Toto's premium bidet technology. But we have always felt that something has been missing from Toto's tech. After pondering long hours in the library (bathroom), unable to get our thoughts (feces) out, we realised just what it is that Toto lacks.

We missed this when it was released last year, but we thought 人 ("Ren"), also known as the Peoples Building (but perhaps it should be called the Person Building), deserved a mention — if only for its audaciousness. This is just a proposal for a new building in Shanghai. It has not been approved yet, and we have no idea if it will be approved, or how long it would take to build if it does get approval. We're also not quite sure on the location, although if it is meant to coincide with the World Expo, perhaps somewhere near the World Expo venue? Regardless, it's good to know we will have blue skies, green grass and clear water in 2010 — and people will be all colors of the rainbow!

That's what the headline read, so we clicked on it. Here's what we saw:

We're not sure if we like weird news because it proves how normal we are or just because it proves that the real world is stranger than fiction and hence, not boring. Here's a run down of news items we've come across recently:
