So how does one measure a good breast? Is it the bounce? The rotundity? The ratio of cleavage to sideboob? We're a little disappointed that question wasn't answered at China's first "Breast Model" contest, held in Hunan Province recently.
Hunan's first Breast Competition... not the best competition
Shanghai college girls scared of ending up unmarried
Betty Friedan would be ashamed! Shanghai women may be rumored to be independent and strong willed, but it looks like the thing they're still most afraid of is not getting married by the time they're 30. These women, allegedly past prime child birthing years, are called "3s ladies" or "sheng nu" (leftover women). It seems that rather than looking up to these 70s-born career women, more than 70% of female graduates in 17 Chinese universities think they're to be pitied. Well, if even top grads feel that way, then no wonder there's such a huge university student "mistress" problem.
Extra! Extra! Fake monks, angry women and the PLA's bulldozers
- Oh jeez, this is something straight out of Chaucer: Fake monks and nuns are conning young folks out of money by peddling Buddhist trinkets. [Chinasmack]
- While modern China has officially promoted gender equality, the modern Chinese woman knows it's not quite that. And she's mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore. [Newsweek]
- Sure they've got missiles and other advanced weaponry, but there's something else the PLA is proud of: their bulldozers. They're for peacekeeping. [Washington Post]
Caption This: Poster for joining the female fighter pilot force
China recently released a bunch of military recruitment posters, and amongst the various shots of men standing next to army trucks, people marching and weapons being weapon-y, this particular one caught our eye for its exuberance.
