To coincide with her launch as a pop singer in China, Japanese porn star Sola Aoi recently jumped on the Sina blog wagon. Suffice to say, Aoi’s an extremely popular gal on the blogosphere–she’s amassed nearly a million followers in the short time she’s had her blog up and running and among those subscribers were, umm…the Dalian police bureau.
Dalian’s public security bureau had an awkward bit of explaining to do when netizens noticed that the official bureau account had subscribed to Aoi’s blog. Actually, Aoi’s blog was the only blog the police subscribed to at all.
As soon as their keen interest in following Aoi’s updates was noted, the bureau quickly removed the link and began following 119 other bloggers. Their excuse? They claimed that control of their microblog had been stolen away by another user and added that they were going to complain to Sina.com about the hack.
We’re sure that is exactly what happened.
