According to Patrick Boehler at TIME, the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration are looking for 20 new staff members. Science degrees aren’t required for every position – they’re also looking for carpenters, plumbers with a distinct dislike of temperate weather. Warm clothing is included at no charge.
Your expected salary would be as high as $925 a month, which compares favorably with Shanghai’s average salary (32% more).
The trip is expected to begin next winter after a period of training in Siberia. The deadline is next month.
