Employees at a Shanghai company who lucked out in a drawing lottery during their annual work party got to take part in this gameshow-inspired cash-grab yesterday.
A transparent booth pumped out thousands of 100-yuan notes as a few lucky employees got to step inside and sweep the bills up with a net, according to NetEase News.
The chosen employees at the company, which wasn’t named, only had a limited time to catch the flying Maos, but whatever they could scoop up was theirs for keeps.

The amount of cash that was swooped up hasn’t been disclosed, although one employee at a similar event in Wenzhou was able to grab onto an impressive 20,000 RMB with just one hand.
Chinese companies often hand out year-end bonuses during parties or banquets ahead of the Chinese New Year. Occasionally employees are given stacks of cash, while others (slightly) less fortunate have to drink for their money.
