Are people beginning to suspect that you’re pregnant, even though you’re a guy? You might want to get your belly checked out, lest you end up like this poor man.
33-year-old Zhang Cheng (not his real name) visited Chengdu Military General Hospital last Friday in order to remove the tumor of all tumors from his abdomen. Apparently, Zhang first noticed the tumor back in 2004, but didn’t decide to get it operated on until it had grown to an incredible 15kg.
Dai Ruiwu, Zhang’s surgeon said that the six-hour operation was extremely risky, requiring experts from three separate departments, Tencent reports. Currently, Zhang is in the intensive care unit for further observation. We don’t know if the tumor is a boy or a girl.
Back in 2014, an 11-year-old girl underwent a similar 8-hour operation to remove a tumor (ovarian teratoma) from her abdomen that was “bigger than two footballs.” A Guangzhou hospital collected 12,000 RMB in donations to perform the surgery and the 15 kg tumor was successfully removed.
Hopefully Zhang is ok too. At least he didn’t try to perform the surgery himself.
