For the last few months, the square in front of the China Art Museum has been displaying nine bronze sculptures by the famous Colombian master Fernando Botero. Inside, an exhibition called Botero in China includes the artist’s world-famous curvy sculptures, as well as 96 paintings previously displayed in Beijing, three new paintings and 30 sketches. The collection presents Botero’s work since the 1970s and is divided into six main parts: Latin American Life, Still Life, Bullfighting, the Circus, Versions: Evoking Tradition and Large Format Drawings.
However, this is all set to leave town very soon. So if you are fan of Botero or simply curious about his curvaceous creations, then head down to the China Art Museum in Pudong by Sunday.
