Playtime was never like this when we were kids.
A 12-year-old had to go to the hospital to get a 15-centimeter knife removed from the back of her head, thrown there by one of her classmates.
According to NetEase, the kids were all hanging out at a local park in Dongguan on May 16th, when one of the girl’s friends got into a fight with a boy. They all turned to leave and just then the boy whipped out his 15-centimeter-long silver knife and flung it in their general direction, striking the girl right in the back of her head, where it stayed stuck.
At the hospital, doctors were able to successfully extract the knife simply by pulling, carefully. The girl is said to be recovering well, all things considered.
Meanwhile, police tracked down the 13-year-old careless knife thrower; however, since he was too young to be held criminally liable, he was released. The two families have decided to settle the matter out of court and the boy’s family has paid most of the 8,000 yuan hospital bill — which is apparently how much it costs to get a knife pulled out of your head.
But is a knife in the back of the skull really something to get all bent out of shape about? “Calm brother” certainly doesn’t think so:
Anyway, this could become the start of a beautiful partnership.
