A female university student in Taiwan has become a social media star after sharing pictures online of her incredibly long toes over the weekend.
The exact identity of the woman with finger-like toes is not yet known. However, in a post she shared on the college community Facebook page Dcard, she says she studies at Tunghai University in Taichung city
Her post has racked up nearly 500 shares and 11,000 likes, prompting millions of web users to puzzle over which are her fingers and which are her toes. The post reads in part, via The Daily Mail:
I’m not tall, just 151 centimeters tall (4ft 11in), but my toes are so long that they seem out of proportion. Since my childhood, I have always drawn attention whenever I wear flip-flops.
People would surround me and talk about me as if I were an animal. I have even been told that I hadn’t evolved properly… My second toe, which is the longest, is five centimeters (two inches).
The pictures also show off some of her unusual skills, such as spreading her toes apart widely and locking them tightly together like fingers.
She says that both of her parents also have long toes, so at first she had never noticed that there was anything different about her.
“When I was young, I thought they were normal toes. When I first saw other people’s toes, I thought ‘how come their toes are so short?’ As I grew up, I realized that I was the bizarre one after all,” she writes.
Some say bizarre, we say better.
