Awesome Summer Camp
For the 6th year running, Awesome Kid’s Club is back with a summer camp that stick to its tried-and-tested formula that includes elements of sports, games, arts, science, education, language and communication, team building, creative projects, role play/drama, song and music science and social skills/ learning and water play. Suitable for kids aged 1-12, the summer camp runs at four great locations: Shanghai Town & Country Club (Changfeng Park), Julia Gabriel Centre For Learning (Pudong), Vanke Emerald Albany Club (Jing’an), and Wellness Experts (Shanghai Centre). Ivy League Camps
This summer Ivy League Camps of the United States is coming to China in partnership with Wellington College International Shanghai and Talent Academy, Shanghai’s largest provider of extracurricular programs. Founded in 2010, Ivy League Camps is an innovative summer program for children designed to stimulate creativity, enhance curiosity, build independence, strengthen communication skills and develop character. Campers choose from among over 20 “Majors” including Nasa Rocket Building and Mysteries of Science, and from a broad variety of athletic and artistic activities. BodyLab Wellness – Musical Theater Summer Camp
Every child gets the chance to shine at BodyLab Wellness with their summer camp that encourages kids to explore the world of singing, dancing and acting. Kids will be divided by age into small groups and taught by a staff of musical theatre professionals and dance teachers. Over two weeks, students learn their songs, rehearse their scenes and build great choreography, developing their creativity and imagination, and having fun and making friends along the way. On the final day, they present a free performance of their show for parents, relatives and friends. Code Academy 123
Codeacademy123 is organising three types of coding summer camps for boys and girls aged 7 to 14, each lasting a week, with 15 hours of afternoon sessions from 2 pm to 5 pm. Choose from either of these three camps: Learning Programming fundamentals via Robotics; Hacking Minecraft with Python; and Gaming101 – Creating games with Scratch. Each camp costs ￥4,000, but if you sign up before June 15, you’ll enjoy a 10% discount. Your kid will need to come to the camp with a laptop with MacOS X or Windows 7, 8 or 10.
Basketball Stars United
Basketball Stars United, which promotes character development and leadership skills through the game of basketball, has got 6 summer camps in Puxi from June to August, and another 2 in Pudong in the month of August. Kehua Sports has six one-week summer camps for football players aged 5-13 at two great venues: Jing’an Worker’s Stadium right in the heart of Puxi, and Century Park Stadium in Pudong. Artspire – Little Artist Camp
At this bilingual five-day-four-night art summer camp for kids aged 6-12 in Sheshan, children will have lots of fun with Picasso and art with Spanish artists and art education experts Sonia Alins and Juanjo Barco. Art classes aside, kids will get to enjoy outdoor picnics, learn how to make dumplings, learn how to read maps and visit the Sheshan Observatory. iShine fashion design summer camp
Give your budding fashionista a headstart in fashion design with this unique and innovative summer camp from iShine, running Aug 1-5 daily from 9am to 4pm. Your child will learn from experienced and professional coaches and learn how to design their own clothes and even showcase the clothes they designed in their very own runway show. The Fun Factory + Main Yoga
The Fun Factory in collaboration with Main Yoga will be offering a summer camp located in the heart of the former French Concession at the Ambassy Club. The Fun Factory Summer Camp program is comprehensive and classes are taught in English with language assistance in Chinese, Spanish, French, and Japanese. Physical education, art, dance and kids yoga classes are led by an experienced teaching team. In addition to their weekly themes like Dr. Seuss Week and World Music Week, The Fun Factory will be launching a different bouncy castle/mechanical game every Friday for the camp closing ceremony.
