Shanghai International Film Festival
The 19th Shanghai International Film Festival takes place this weekend, with tickets for numerous events and film screenings on Taobao. Tianzhuo Chen: Trayastrima @ Chi Art Space
All the way from Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Tianzhuo Chen’s Trayastrima exhibits at Chi Art Space in K11. Trayastrima brings together sculptural, video and performative elements and features recurring characters that are grotesque, yet familiar: a menagerie of outlandish acrobats, androgynous characters, five-eyed blondes and gangster rappers.

Dong Dong showcases French rock band Success at Yuyintang, with support from Undress for Success. Prepare for a bangin’ gig, the organisers compare Success’ live show to an “overloaded power plant!” Dong Dong stages another French rock band, Last Train, on Thursday and you can pick up a two-day ticket for ¥100.
