A female factory worker from southern China was seen earlier preparing to jump from a rooftop after her boss refused to give her some time off.
According to NetEase, the incident took place earlier today in Zhongshan city, Guangdong province. After her request for leave was denied by her boss, she took to the rooftop and stood on an air conditioning unit, preparing to jump.
A standoff lasting four hours took place as she threatened to leap from the building if anyone tried to approach her. Emergency services and her family eventually managed to talk her away from the edge.
Speaking to reporters, she later stated that she has recently been very stressed out and that not being allowed a few days away from work had caused her to have a breakdown. It is, however, still unclear as to whether or not she got her leave in the end.
On the bright side, at least the people beside her didn’t try to whack her off the building or urge her to jump.
