A sophomore student from the Wuhan University of Technology has managed to impress the hell out of everyone through his scholastic dedication after pics went viral on the internet showing him squatting on a chair studying diligently, inside his totally waterlogged dorm room.
The student’s roommate revealed that the dedicated guy had woken up early, put on his clothes and got down to studying for a particularly difficult examination in “Mechanical Principles” he had the following day, seemingly unfazed by the fact that his room was practically a swimming pool.
However, as he went along studying, the water level only grew higher, nearly submerging the chair he was sitting on. Realizing he could no longer sit on the chair, he did the only sensible thing he could, squatting on the chair. Eventually, even that was no good and he was forced to retreat up to the second floor of the dormitory.
When the water level in the dorm finally receded, he went right back downstairs and continued studying. His roommate said that the material he was studying was very complicated, and with his future plans to study abroad, he must really work hard, Ifeng News reports.
Netizens on Weibo have praised this student’s incredible dedication to his studies, complimenting him on his hard work and determination.
“I believe he has a bright future ahead of him. Just look at how hard-working he is!” one wrote.
“Bro, you’re making the rest of us look bad. Take the day off,” another pleaded.
While flooding may endanger people’s lives, it hasn’t stopped their pursuit of an education. Last year, a flood bringing down a bridge didn’t stop these Guangxi kids from making it to school on time. And earlier this year, an Anhui grandpa sent his grandkids to school via large wooden basin.
