Though China has always been infamous for reckless and dangerous driving, these two take it to another level.
Zhang Zhendong, a former China Touring Car Championship winner, and Yang Zhengxing, a car mechanic, were caught clocking speeds of up to 187 km/hr on Shanghai’s Middle Ring Road in a Porsche GT3 and an Infiniti.
Videos of their fast and furious run were leaked online and police tracked down the owners of the two high-performance vehicles… who weren’t actually driving at the time. It turns out that both car owners had left their rides at a Shanghai auto 4S shop where Yang happens to work and that Zhang’s father owns.
Much less risky to speed around in cars that aren’t yours!
Under the Road Traffic Safety Law, the two hotshots face charges of speeding and illegal lane changing, which could potentially result in 12 points off their licenses, a 300 RMB fine, getting their licenses revoked or even prison.
