Turning Point: Contemporary Art in China Since 2000 @ Minsheng Art Museum
A group exhibition featuring 52 Chinese artists and collectives goes on display at Minsheng Art Museum this summer. Ranging from painting, sculpture and installation, through to video, animation and more, together they present a broad overview of how contemporary artists have responded to China’s enormous societal shifts since 2000. Expect offerings from the likes of Chen Wei, Cheng Ran, Li Shurui, Miao Ying, Zhang Ding and others.

Funky Brunch: Hip Hop Edition @ Ruijin Cajun
Ruijing Cajun hosts a “Funky Brunch” with classic old school hip hop on the system from DJ B.O. — Biggie, Missy Elliot, and Slick Rick — and live rap show from Shanghai MCs while you brunch out on Ruijin’s hearty Americana-style food. A vegetarian a.k.a. “The KRS-One Option” is available.
