A Chinese woman on Cathay Pacific flight CX746, from Dubai to Hong Kong, got herself in a rather sticky situation by hurling orange juice at a flight attendant. After landing, police officers boarded the plane and arrested the unruly woman for common assault.
The 36 year-old woman was not sitting with her children on the flight. When she found out her children’s meals weren’t prepared ahead of time, she got into an argument with the flight attendant, which then led to orange juice being thrown, SCMP reports. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the altercation.
But hey, at least she didn’t demand free first class meals for her children?
In flight refreshments are often used as weapons by angry passengers. Last year, a mainland artist was found guilty of common assault and fined 6,000 HKD after throwing a plastic cup at a Cathay Pacific flight attendant when she didn’t get him water fast enough. Meanwhile, earlier this year, a Southern Airlines passenger used the water he was given to retaliate after flight attendants accidentally spilled some juice on him.
Of course, all of this is preferable to getting steaming hot instant noodles poured over you.
Looks like that blacklist is getting crowded.
