Thinking about heading to northern Sichuan to take in some of China’s most splendid scenery at Jiuzhaigou? Well, you might want to hold off on that for a bit.
Beginning on August 3rd, the famous tourist hotspot, known for its colorful lakes, waterfalls and forests, has been welcoming in over 30,000 travelers every single day. On Wednesday alone, they got 38,298 visitors.
August is the beginning of peak season for the park, though it gets even more crowded in October as the leaves start to change colors. Thanks to pleasant weather this year, Jiuzhaigou has received a boost, averaging 20,000 visitors per day from mid-July, Sohu News reports.
Some tourists revealed that it took them nearly four hours to actually enter the park. We ask again, why?!?
