NBA Global Games @ Mercedes-Benz Arena
The Rockets and Pelicans will play Sunday night in Shanghai at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, followed by a rematch Oct. 12 in Beijing at The LeSports Center. The 10th edition of NBA Global Games China will celebrate the Rockets’ first visit to Shanghai since their inaugural game there in 2004 and their fourth trip overall to Greater China following visits in 2004, 2010 and 2013. NBA Global Games China 2016 will mark the Pelicans’ first visit to China. The games, which will be available on television, digital and social media in more than 200 countries and territories, will also feature a variety of off-court activities, including the fifth Fan Appreciation Day presented by Dongfeng Nissan on Oct. 7 in Shanghai.

Freestyle painting @ Shanghai Art Salon
Sip’n’Paint Painting Parties are a relaxed way to create your own masterpiece under guidance. The subject is open so paint your own artistic inspirations. Feel free to bring a photo of your subject on smartphone, tablet, printout, or paint from one of their paintings, postcards, books, clippings, or collected objects. There are freestyle painting classes everyday with two sessions, 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm. The class is ¥190 per person under guidance, and ¥150 without guidance. All teachers speak English and assistance is provided in Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

Monet’s Impression @ Hopson One
A multimedia exhibition based on the works of French impressionist master Claude Monet, this exhibit showcases digital versions of the artists work. This interactive exhibit offers a panoramic view of Monet’s paintings arranged in chronological order. There are holographic imaging combined with touch-sensitive technology. This exhibit is ongoing until the December 26th.

Nature: A Subjective Place @ SCôP
SCôP (The Shanghai Centre of Photography) is located in West Bund and is currently featuring the exhibit ”Nature: A Subjective Place”. SCôP aims to be the leading museum-quality venue dedicated to the wonders of photography in Shanghai. With a mission to inspire the local community with the dynamism of Chinese photography, this new exhibit is ongoing until the end of October. It presents over 70 extraordinary photographic collections created using a diverse range of styles, techniques and approaches.
