JZ Festival @ Expo Park

JZ Music is proud to announce its 12th annual jazz festival in Shanghai Expo Park this October. Over the past decade, JZ Festival has grown to become the largest jazz festival in China. The theme for this year’s festival is “Get on your jazz way!”, aimed to inspire individuals to include jazz as part of their daily life. JZ Music continues their dedication to bringing the finest international and local musicians to the Chinese audience. This is a two day festival on Saturday and Sunday and tickets are ¥350 at the door.

LOST IN VEGAS casino night @ The Pearl

The Pearl presents LOST IN VEGAS – a night of classy entertainment, card games, upscale performances and you’ll have a chance to win amazing prices at the end of the night. For you high rollers out there, dinner packages and bottle services are available. Dress code is black tie, Vegas style is strictly enforced. Tickets are ¥100 for entry and ¥200 to play. Oktoberfest @ Tonglefang

The world’s biggest beer festival Oktoberfest may be coming to a close in its native Munich, but here in Shanghai, the party is just about to get started. So grab your dirndl and lederhosen and get ready to get properly sloshed at Germany brewery König Ludwig’s massive Oktoberfest party happening in Jing’an district’s Tonglefang complex from the 13th to 15th of October. The event runs from 5pm – 10:30pm and tickets are ¥350 per person, or ¥3000 for a table up to 10 people. Tickets include unlimited beer, soft drinks, appetizer and one traditional dish per person.

Edd Daggers @ Ruijin Cajun

British humorist Edd Daggers returns to Shanghai. Fresh from the comedy clubs of London & the Asia circuit, this powerhouse comic is set to headline the Shanghai Comedy Club’s at Ruijin Cajun. The show starts at 8.30pm and tickets are ¥70. Email Shanghai Comedy Club directly to RSVP for tickets.

Jerusalem Syndrome @ The Shelter

Visual artist and stylist Dre Romero moves fluidly between installations, photography and fashion. Together with frequent collaborator Eli Osheyack, their work examines the aesthetic and political potential of the club space. For Osheyack’s EP release party at the Shelter, she transformed the physical space of the club by creating a lasered passage-way for club-goers to navigate through during the night.

Oyster and Chablis Feast @ VUE Bar

Ready for a day of oyster loving? Oyster-lovers rejoice as Hyatt on the Bund hosts their 3rd oyster and wine festival of 2016. These spectacular events see hundreds of gourmands visit the hotel’s VUE Bar to enjoy a day of endless freshly shucked oysters flown in live for the occasion, accompanied by a selection of free-flow Joseph Drouhin, Drouhin Vaudon Chablis AOC, Burgundy, France. Expect Fijian dancers and music, plus a vintage ‘postcard’ photobooth.
