On Saturday morning in Shenyang, two men were spotted speeding down the street behind the wheels of a pair of colorful bumper cars.
Fortunately for us all, the strange street race was captured by one netizen who uploaded pictures of the two men in their green and yellow rides to Weibo.
The awesome photos quickly went viral online where authorities preached caution. While conceding that the two drivers evidently abided by the rules of the road, stopping at traffic lights, Liaoshen Evening News still labeled their behavior as “very dangerous.”
However, more than a few netizens on Weibo professed their desire to also take a bumper car for a spin outside the park.
“My childhood dream come true!” commented one web user.
“Don’t bumper cars need an electrified ceiling to run?” wondered another (No, they don’t).
Amazingly enough, this isn’t the first time that something like this has happened in China. Back in 2013, four workers at a Shanghai amusement park were spotted taking a pair of bumper cars out for a joyride around town.
