Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is known for turning out low-cost products that look absolutely fabulous — if suspiciously familiar — but this time they’ve managed to make something that no one has ever quite seen before, including Apple.
While many were disappointed with the iPhone 7, fans are still excitedly looking forward to the next edition of the iPhone. Earlier this month, rumors of a bezel-free display went wild on the internet after some of Apple’s patents were posted online. Who knows, the 10th anniversary iPhone might look something like the new Xiaomi Mix, which was unveiled earlier this week.

That’s a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio! Typically, that ratio is around 70% for most smartphones, and for good reason, because there are a lot of important things that usually go into that space. You can hear how Xiaomi designers managed to get around those constraints in the video below:
So far, the Xiaomi Mix has received rave reviews across the internet for being both bold and beautiful:
Apart from the sci-fi design, the specs on the Xiaomi Mix are about what you would expect. The standard model will be priced at 3,499 RMB ($515), while the upgraded version will be 3,999 RMB ($590). You can pick one up starting November 4th in China.
