In a hurry to meet up with friends for dinner on Tuesday night, one man in Zhengzhou chose to illegally park in what turned out to be just about the worst place imaginable. When he returned a few hours later, he found that his SUV had been buried in garbage.
The man surnamed Shang had accidentally parked in front of a trash collection station, blocking the entryway, an angry worker informed him. With no way to drive into the station, the garbage trucks decided to simply dump the garbage on the street around Shang’s car, before going out for some more. Hey, it’s way more fun than just calling a tow truck.
While he had only been gone for a few hours, there was now around 10 tons of filth piled up around his vehicle, NetEase reports. With no other options, Shang was forced to pay a forklift operator 1,100 yuan to clear the way and allow him to drive out, hopefully to the nearest car wash.
Chinese netizens have praised the sanitation workers for their direct response to Shang’s parking. In the past in China, illegally parked cars have been lifted onto roofs, smashed by bulldozers and surrounded by trash cans. But this is going to be hard to top.
Smell that? It’s the sweet smell of justice.
