This year, Gui Hua Lou has generously participated in Chi Fan for Charity and has donated 10 seats, offering an extravagant ten course meal for each guest with 100% of the proceeds going to supporting the charity beneficiaries of this year: Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) and Shanghai Young Bakers. With over thirty years of Huaiyangnese culinary experience, he is fond of blending culinary influences with his own recipes and he takes great pleasure in creating dishes with new ingredients he discovers. Chef Gao is most critical when it comes to food quality, colour, aroma and styling. He sees culinary as an art form, where every dish is a reflection of an inspiration in life.
