he United States has now reported more than double the number of coronavirus cases as China, a statistic that the US intelligence community doesn’t believe actually reflects reality.
A classified report submitted last week to the White House from US intelligence concludes that China intentionally concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in its country, under-reporting both the total number of cases and deaths.
Three sources confirmed the existence of this secret, classified report to Bloomberg but declined to comment on the details.
As the outbreak was ongoing, many viewed China’s official numbers with more than a bit of skepticism amidmultiple revisionsto the way in which cases were counted and some dubious data.
Officially, not a single PLA soldier has been infected with the virus.
Considering what has happened in other countries around the world, in retrospect, China’s numbers are now looking even more suspect. Both Italy and Spain have reported more deaths than China and the US is now projecting as many as 240,000 deaths.
NEW: Tues 31 March = overhaul of coronavirus trajectories
As the story shifts, the charts shift. We’re now focusing on *new* cases & deaths rather than running totals.

However, it’s unclear by what magnitude the US report suggests that China’s numbers are off by.
Last week, skepticism was further fueled by the staggering amount of urns being distributed in Wuhan with one mortuary receiving 5,000 in just two days.
Wuhan’s official virus death toll is only 2,535.
