A middle school student in Guangdong province suffered multiple broken bones after choosing the wrong place to imitate his favorite NBA star’s signature move.
The boy is seen on surveillance tape at his school in the city of Yunfu mimicking a turnaround fadeaway jumper. Unfortunately, he performs the move with a bit too much gusto, sending him toppling over the railing of a second-floor terrace before his friends are able to steady him.
Following the fall, the kid was rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with multiple broken bones.
The student said that he’s been playing basketball since he was in the fourth grade and that his favorite player is Kobe Byrant, who was famous for his fadeaway.
